Building Code
The Florida State Building Code Administration Section ensures that all building erections, additions, alterations, repairs, remodeling or demolitions and all installations of building systems meet Florida Building Code requirements including all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, gas, gas fuel, fire prevention, energy conservation, accessibility, stormwater and floodplain management requirements. This office supervises, directs and enforces the permitting, plans examination and inspection program in all FSU buildings. When the Building and Fire Code Administrator is satisfied that all code requirements have been met, he/she issues a certificate that allows completed buildings to be occupied.

Please ensure all inspection requests have been made no later than 7:00am, Wednesday July 3rd. Inspection requests will reopen at 7:00am on Sunday, July 7th. Of course, in-between these dates and times, emergency inspection needed can be made through the projects respective Designer/Planner and relayed to the Building Department at 850-387-9882.
